Invited by my friends Carlos and Nela, on Thursday, May 20 assists in Casa Góngora the opening of the exhibition INTERIOR. Is an exhibition of ceramic oven 24 collective , name otherwise very attached to my childhood.
There
agree with other friends: Hisae Yanase, Antonio González, Gerardo Pedrós ... And with old known to which I am pleased to discover (and rediscover). Lola Roldán including, ceramics with a workshop in my neighborhood whose work I know (and admire) after several commissions over the years.
During the inauguration each author briefly explains his work. I like these short, modest and enlightening speeches, often torpedoed by those who listen.
Like ceramics, its plasticity, textures, shapes, colors and reflections that can get ... .. In our culture, God created man of clay. The pottery has been accompanying humans for nearly 10,000 years.
I took the camera: the number of visitors that stop me from achieving acceptable shots. But, drawing on market days, I return a quiet morning together with Elena. In the lonely rooms take photos freely. And enjoy the work (and without noticing the photograph lost in hearts ....)
I like the variety I see, from the geometric to organic. From rust to clean glazed surfaces. The intense color to black and white. Different interpretations on the same topic (interior space).
